A portrait of a new kind of chef. Between 2024 and 2025, Take Away imagined and produced this series with Clotaire Poirier, building on the editorial line introduced in our 2024 magazine. The result: a committed documentary, both intimate and political, that explores a cuisine freed from hierarchy - more human, more respectful, and deeply creative.
This film follows Clotaire, Top Chef 2024 finalist, through the final chapter of a transformative year. From a vibrant residency at Bambino in Paris, to a creative exchange in London with Jackson Boxer, and a closing experience alongside the legendary Pierre Gagnaire, the journey reflects more than just cooking. It’s about shaping a new way of being a chef.
Clotaire stands at the heart of this shift. Trained in kitchens across the world, including at Kadeau, on the remote island of Bornholm - he now embraces a gentler, more autonomous approach. One that values care, time, and the people behind the plate.
